Linda Richardson

Linda Richardson RN, MSN, ANP, CCS, CCDS is a Managing Director with Claro Healthcare and has deep experience in clinical documentation improvement (CDI), compliance, and coding.  Linda has over 15 years of experience in implementing and enhancing coding/documentation improvement programs across the country and has over 40 years of experience in the healthcare environment.

Linda’s experience in nursing, prior to CDI, includes management, education, and direct patient care as an RN.  She also has experience as a Nurse Practitioner providing direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Areas of experience include medical/surgical, orthopedics, wound care, occupational medicine, ICU and NICU.

Linda has a very successful track record in delivering results for both new and existing clinical documentation improvement programs in a variety of settings including small community hospitals as well as large academic medical centers and health care systems.  She has assisted with implementing and managing numerous CDI programs, providing the necessary education and resources for concurrent review staff, inpatient coders, physicians, and executive leadership. Linda has been very successful in developing the processes and tools for effective teamwork and collaboration between concurrent review staff, coding professionals, physicians, and other clinical review staff to bridge the communication gap between clinical and payer language.

Linda earned her BSN from the University of the State of New York and her MSN (Adult Nurse Practitioner) and Indiana University.

Professional Certification includes CCDS and CCS.
