It's hard to pinpoint one specific thing that makes Claro Healthcare great. It's not just one thing, it's the whole package: the atmosphere, the people, the company, the mission and the vision. The work we do at Claro Healthcare is never the same. You are constantly being challenged in multiple areas. There is opportunity to grow in your role. I was hired as an Associate and I've been able to become an Assistant Vice President. The continuing education support from leadership has been great. It has allowed me to learn more about ProFee and achieve my CCS.Julie Bell • BSN, RN, CCDS, CCS • Assistant Vice President • ProFee Team

I love the work we do for hospitals and their surrounding communities. On a recent client project, we noticed that some of their metrics were slipping up a bit. We did an ad-hoc analysis on their data, and our analysis had a snowball effect on their quality metrics and their overall quantifiable benefit. They were extremely open to our suggestions and implemented right away. Almost immediately, they had the biggest financial benefit they've seen since they started working with us. It is really rewarding to see what you do day-to-day have such an effect on the client. At Claro Healthcare, I am doing important work that has a big impact on our clients.Marissa Meadows • Analyst • Inpatient Team

What differentiates Claro Healthcare from other companies is that it's a very transparent organization. They really emphasize work life balance and put their employees first. Very rarely do I get emails on the weekend. They make a point to be sure that you do take that time to relax and rejuvenate throughout the year. We have a very friendly team and feels like a family. It sounds cliché, but it is true. With one of my clients, they really turned to us to determine how to tackle things during the pandemic. We became a trusted advisor there. Based on our work together, the client was able to have a positive impact on patient care. Habib Ahmed • MD, CDIP • Assistant Vice President • Inpatient Team

My favorite part about working at Claro Healthcare is the people, hands down. Everyone I have worked with is thoughtful, open minded, and bright which creates a positive working environment and culture. Our team members take the time to recognize each other’s achievements and invest in our more junior team members’ growth. Since starting at Claro Healthcare, my confidence has grown immensely. That is something both my managers and I have consciously worked on growing over the years. When I first started, I was afraid of saying the wrong thing or suggesting the wrong answer, but now I am finding my voice and realizing that I have plenty to offer to my project teams in terms of perspective and ideas.Kirin Upadhyay • Assistant Vice President • Outpatient Team

I have had the opportunity to work with the same client for a long time. I like seeing the entire project lifecycle of how the client started and how they've advanced. It's also nice to build a relationship with the client as you go. We have a very positive work environment that is extremely collaborative; everyone's opinions are valued. My skills in the consulting realm have really grown. Since starting at Claro Healthcare, I have honed my skills in presenting and have learned to manage multiple clients at a time.Daphne Pell • RHIA, CHRI • Assistant Vice President • Outpatient Team

What I love about Claro Healthcare is our small firm feel. You can reach the top of the organization with just an email. The managing directors here are approachable, and we are actually friends with them. The integrity of how we do the work is really what we stand behind. We're very compliant. I am currently working on a client project that was a new area for us. We worked with our technology to determine how we could customize our software to assist the client. Based on our successes in this new domain, we are now able to offer this service to other clients. I have always worked on the nursing side of things, and since joining Claro Healthcare I have seen my client consulting and business skills grow exponentially.Kim Gilbert • RN, BSN, MBA, CCS, CDIP, CRC • Senior Vice President • Inpatient Team
When I joined Claro Healthcare as an analyst, I didn't feel like I was at the bottom of the totem pole; my opinion was valued from day one. I got into consulting because I wanted new and fresh problems to find solutions for and at Claro Healthcare, that is exactly what I am doing. I have learned more than ever—both in my data analysis skills and soft skills. I have grown in my presentation skills, my confidence in presenting, my professional communication skills, both client-facing and internal. I can carry those skills into anything I do; they will be useful for the rest of my life.Charlie Mullen • Associate • Outpatient Team
I like the comradery. I've worked for a lot of hospitals and systems, and I've never felt so supported, looked over and cared about, and I've never even met any coworkers in person. The training was phenomenal. I have really grown in my current project with presenting and record reviews. There have been some difficult cases that challenge me as a CDI but the team I work with has been so supportive that I am able to be successful. I have done some further education on ProFee and now I am also working on that team. That is a huge growth for my career.Angie Jacobson • BSN, RN, CCDS • Senior Associate • Inpatient Team
My favorite parts about working at Claro Healthcare are the people and the culture. This is what drew me in during my interview process; it was so easy to build a relationship with someone. It didn't matter what level my interviewer was, I walked away thinking there was a mutual interest in learning from each other. That has carried on throughout my career here and is a big part of our culture—it is relatively flat. The variety of people you work with at Claro Healthcare is also very unique in the consulting space. We collaborate with others with clinical backgrounds and many different college majors. It helps us have a diversity of experiences and perspectives. Everyone has their strength that they add to the team.Anya Ramaiah • Senior Associate • Inpatient Team
I like the variety of projects we work on. We're not pigeonholed into one area of CDI. I switched over from OP to ProFee when assistance was needed. Because we do such a variety of projects, there's always something new to learn. My skills are broadening across the whole facility and I'm learning about all sorts of projects we can do. I love helping CDIs and their organizations become successful. To me, there's nothing better than when you're teaching someone, and you see the lightbulb go off.Dee DiMauro • CPC, COC, CPMA • Assistant Vice President • Outpatient Team
